Browsing Third Party Documentation

The Third Party html-based documentation included with CodeWarrior is stored in zip files, and must be served directly from them. To do this, we've included an application called ZipSight. It is already configured to browse the documentation. Note that this application requires that you have a java virtual machine installed in your system.

Many of the documents are also available as pdf files. Browsing these does not require the ZipSight http server to be running, but your browser should be configured to read them if necessary.

To begin browsing the documentation, follow these steps:

  1. Locate and launch the application :Documentation:Java:ZipSight:ZipSight. You may need to install the current version of MRJ to run it.
  2. Once the application is running, click the Configure button.
  3. On the Configure window, click the Choose button, and choose the file :Documentation:Java:Docs:ZipSightSelectThisFile.html.
  4. Click the Security tab, and select the checkbox "Start Server on Launch". To browse documentation in the future, you only need to launch ZipSight and procede to browse.
  5. Click the OK button.
  6. Click Start Server
  7. To begin browsing, click here.
